Book Scanner for Sale Bellingham/Seattle WA area

Post by james tucker »

I am selling my bookscanner. I purchased the scanner to digitize my personal library before heading abroad for Ph.D. work.

The scanner is only a couple of months old. It has two sets of glass plates, a modified mechanical capturing system, and two Canon A2500 powershot (with 16gb memory cards).

I am asking $895 or best offer.

I've attached an image of the scanner here:

Here is an output sample of what I was getting with my set up:

A note to potential buyers - James' kit is one of the more recent ones, and he also separately got the bike brake triggers (which has not been included with a kit for over a year now). So it's a more "complete" kit than most.

Previous seller has backed out. This is open for sale again. I need to sell it by the end of June.

Let me also say that if anyone wants to buy the scanner alone (without the cameras), you can have it for $600. Email me jam [dot] tuck [at] gmail [dot] com.

I will also give you a copy of the Perl Script I wrote to process the pages (images) and rename them to merge into one file on even and odd pages.
