Looking for hosting recommendations

Post by daniel_reetz » 29 Dec 2014, 14:12

I've been hosting all my projects with Dreamhost for years, but they recently decided that "unlimited disk" means occasionally going into my site and deleting hundreds of folders (they claimed it was violating TOS to be using so much space - disk is "unlimited" on their plans). I wish I was making this up.

As such, I'm looking for a new host for this site and all my other sites. Anybody got any recommendations?

I have used LiNode https://www.linode.com/ for several years and am very happy with them. I am currently paying $37.50 month can't remember what that includes since I have been with them for about 5 years. Before that I leased a server, and then bought and co-located a server. I don't do any of the hands on server stuff I have a friend who is a security expert do it for me. Can't remember having any issues with them over the years, very reliable.

I don´t know ho much space you like to have but I use www.one.com and you get 15 Gig, phpbb, support, etc for ~$3 /month.

They are OK.
