What's with the bots?

I see Google, yahoo and MSN bots on here often. I've never
seen bots on other forums. I guess they are there but I've never
seen one listed in Whose Online elsewhere.

They have special accounts with PHPBB (our forum software) so that they can make a good index of what happens here. These accounts are set up within the forum software, as far as I know. I welcome them, because generally, they behave well, and they make the contents of this forum more widely available/searchable.
