[0.9.10 Win32] ST outputting 32bpp TIFF

Post by eL_PuSHeR »

Hello.

I don't know if this is intended or a bug but sometimes (I don't know the reason) ST outputs 32bpp TIFF files (although I ALWAYS select the "colour/grayscale" output option, and source files are grayscale too), and I have to convert them to grayscale afterwards because I am having certain troubles reading them under some applications.

Any ideas?

Normally this happens when your input image has colors and/or alpha channel.
Scan Tailor experimental doesn't output 96 DPI images. It's just what your software shows when DPI information is missing. Usually what you get is input DPI times the resolution enhancement factor.

Most probably it was because of the alpha channel. I found out some of the imput files were 24bpp, although it resembled grayscale.

Thanks Tulon.
