Juan, the plans are not for sale, they are for free at the beginning of this thread.
Please post a picture of your first gen scanner! Thanks.

No donate button. What really means a lot to me (and the people here) is to post your experiences as you build it, and to help others past the little problems that inevitably come up.
Thanks.
Thanks.

This is amazing. I am really interested in building one. I have spoken with a CNC cutter today and have downloaded the artwork.
Which file do I give the CNC cutter. Will he take the .AI file or the .DXF file.
Best regards,
Davidfkane

Hi Daniel,
For those of us in Europe...
If you can't ship entire kits over to us, can you package and ship over the screws and smaller parts needed, instead of the entire kit? We could get the CNC work done locally.
Thanks,
David.

Be sure to paint the scanner black! This is NOT for looks (although it does look cool) but to reduce glare. Your city may, like Portland, OR, offer a discount-priced recycled paint program. Ours, called Metropaint (http://www.oregonmetro.gov/index.cfm/go/by.web/id=521/), charges just $10 for a gallon of flat black latex paint, compared to $30 for the equivalent at Miller Paint, a popular nationwide supplier.
