Preserving old manuscripts

Post by sdati »

Just listened to an interesting podcast about digitization of very old manuscripts - some interesting thoughts on reasons for digitizing rare books and documents... and why having portable, easy-to-use book scanners is a good thing: http://speakingoffaith.publicradio.org/ ... ing-words/

I've read a bit about them before - it's interesting to see another news story up. There's also this journal article from Microform and Imaging Review about the Hill Museum's manuscript digitization equipment.
The opinions expressed in this post are my own and do not necessarily represent those of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights.
